Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the Indian Festival 2007 in Dubai. The Festival consisted of an exhibition from 12 to 16 May 2007, designed for mutual benefits, providing exposure to products of both visitors, exhibitors, store owners, retailers, wholesalers, government and private institutions. In the inauguration ceremony, Smt. Raje invited the international business community to invest in her state. She invited both non-resident Indians, and foreign business houses to explore the vast opportunities in Rajasthan, introducing it as 'the most peaceful, law abiding and healthy destination in the country'.
"We have put mechanisms in place for investors to participate in creating a better and brighter Rajasthan. Rajasthan offers opportunities like none other."
Smt. Vasundhara Raje
Speaking to an array of business leaders, Raje mentioned how public-private partnerships were successfully working in the State in several sectors such as roads, energy, healthcare, education, water and food security. She also talked about her government's policy to promote private investments in healthcare facilities, and that the State was looking at investments over Rs.20 billion in this sector alone.

The Rajasthan Pavilion at the festival showcased the two facets of the State, Tourism and Investment. On one hand, it talked about the unparalleled wealth of tourism assets that Rajasthan possesses, thus, being the biggest tourist destination in the country. On the other hand, it enumerated the vast investment opportunities in the State, supported by a well-developed infrastructure.
Indian Festival 2007 in Dubai is a first-of-its-kind event organised by Rajasthan's leading newspaper Rajasthan Patrika, which provided a platform for showcasing the best of goods and services produced in India.
