The promoter could either purchase or utilize his/her land for setting up a project, or request for allotment of land under relevant rules.
In case a self-acquired land is to be used, it must conform to the proposed use. Agricultural land would need to be converted to the required land use. Change in land use is regulated under the Rajasthan Land Revenue (Conversion of Agricultural Land for Non-Agricultural Purposes in Rural Areas) Rules, 2007, and is governed by Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956. For conversion of land for industrial use, in case of rural land, Revenue Department is to be approached and in case of urban land, Urban Authorities are to be approached.
