Investment Incentives under Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, 2003

The State offers the following incentives for new investments as well as for expansion/diversification/ modernization of ongoing projects under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, 2003.
  1. 50% exemption on stamp duty
  2. 50% exemption from conversion charges
  3. Interest and wage employment subsidy
  4. 50% exemption from electricity duty for seven years
  5. 50% exemption from entertainment tax for seven years
  6. 50% exemption from Mandi tax for seven years
  7. 100% exemption from luxury tax for seven years

Procedure
  • Application for exemption from stamp duty and/or conversion charges accompanied by a project report duly certified by a chartered accountant is to be made to the Member Secretary of the Screening Committee in Form-1 for new investment and in Form-4 for Modernization/ Expansion/ Diversification of ongoing projects. A Provisional Entitlement Certificate is issued in Form-5 which entitles exemption from stamp duty and conversion charges.

  • Application for interest and/or wage employment subsidy is to be made to the Member Secretary of the Screening Committee in Form-2 within 90 days of the commencement of commercial production/operation of the project. Such application shall be accompanied by the following documents as may be applicable:
    • Loan sanction letter issued by the term lending institution/bank
    • Proof of investment in case of self finance
    • Approved provident fund deposit receipt

On approval of the Screening Committee an Entitlement Certificate is issued in Form -6.

  • Application for exemption from luxury tax, electricity duty, entertainment tax and Mandi tax accompanied by a project report duly certified by a chartered accountant is to be made to the Member Secretary of the Screening Committee in Form-3 within 60 days of the commencement of commercial production/operation. On approval of the Screening Committee an Entitlement Certificate is issued in Form-7.
The appropriate authority for granting benefit for investments up to Rs7 crore is District Level Screening Committee (DLSC) and for investments above Rs7 crore is State Level Screening Committee (SLSC). Application to Member Secretary, SLSC may be addressed to the Commissioner, Industries, Udyog Bhawan, Tilak Marg Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Application for DLSC may be addressed to the General Manager, District Industries Centre of the concerned district.
